Dr. Co welcomed Professor Tim Lancaster, Former Dean of Kings College London to HKUMed

HKU Director of MBBS Programme (Assessment) Dr. Co welcomed Professor Tim Lancaster, External Examiner of MBBS IV Assessment at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Hong Kong on 13th and 14th of May 2024.

They started with a campus tour where Dr. Co showcased his latest teaching and learning developments, such as generative AI chatbot program (Bennie and the Chats), as well as the distance ultrasound learning programme, and Techmezz, etc to Prof. Lancaster.

The itinerary was followed by a series of meetings and viva examinations. Both Dr. Co and Prof. Lancaster exchanged ideas on different areas on medical education.

On the 14th of May, Dr. Co hosted a thank you lunch for Prof. Lancaster with two other academic members of the faculty at Southside bistro, Le Meridien Cyberport. They had a brief discussion on the future directions of AI and technology development in medical education.
